Letter from the CEPD Team

Welcome to the Summer edition of Bebo. Despite the sunny weather, the Office of CEPD is still hard at work planning for Spring 2012 courses and keeping busy accrediting and managing registration for Fall 2011. There have been some changes in the past season. As of this month our Vice Dean, Dr. Ivan Silver, will be away on a six month sabbatical. We all miss him around the office, but we wish him well on all his endeavors during his time away, especially the art show he’s curating on the East coast.

We would like to welcome Dr. Dimitri Anastakis who will be our acting Vice Dean while Dr. Silver is on leave. Dimitri serves as Chair of the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He is also Executive Director of SIM-one, the interprofessional healthcare simulation network.

We’re thrilled to have Dr. Anastakis with us and hope he enjoys his time here as acting Vice Dean.

Dr. Mary Bell has stepped down as Director of the CE/KTE program in the Department of Medicine and from her role in CEPD. Dr. Bell will be missed by all of us here at CEPD for her dedication, brilliance and her personable character. We sincerely congratulate her and wish her the best, but we’ll miss her all the same.

From everyone here at the Office of CEPD we hope you’re having a happy and healthy summer and we look forward to seeing you in courses come September.

Warm regards,
The CEPD Team
