As leaders in paediatric healthcare, our goal is to deliver the safest quality care possible.
As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, the SickKids Annual Paediatric Patient Safety Symposium is collaborating with Risky Business 2014, an international, non-profit collaborative venture whose aim is to share new ideas on managing risk, patient safety, leadership, teamwork and improvement science from some of the highest achievers in other high-risk businesses, industries, sport, exploration, media, military and the arts.
This year’s exciting 2-day event aims to achieve a thought-provoking, relevant and scientific meeting to advance the cause of paediatric patient safety locally, nationally and internationally. In addition to plenary sessions, we will continue to include the popular breakout sessions and poster award session as in previous symposium years.
The theme of this year’s combined event will revolve around the uncertainty of healthcare at a time when we are tasked with planning for the future of paediatric healthcare. There will be the added focus on translating data to information to assist with decision-making as well as learning from others about resilience and recovery in healthcare.
This symposium will be of interest and relevance to a wide audience including: frontline healthcare providers, healthcare leaders and quality, safety and infection prevention specialists, risk managers, researchers, educators and families.
