Dr. Nancy Salbach is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto and she currently holds a career award from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. Dr. Salbach’s research in CEPD has focused on the development of a multi-component education intervention to enhance physical therapists’ capacity to engage in evidence-based practice (EBP) for people with stroke. She has also developed and validated a self-report tool to evaluate health care professionals’ self-efficacy to implement EBP. Dr. Salbach uses the Medical Research Council framework for developing complex interventions and self-efficiacy theory to guide her research.
