The 2026 Canadian Musculoskeletal Conference is a one day event focusing on bone and muscle health. This hybrid event will be led by national experts in osteoporosis and musculoskeletal health. This dynamic conference will offer an advanced medical education program and is intended for general physicians and specialists as well as allied health professionals.
The content will focus on muscle and bone health, with a focus on sarcopenia and osteoporosis. Presentations will discuss the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of these conditions, in various populations.
There will also be a focus on rare bone diseases, including fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva, hypophosphatasia, X-linked hypophosphatemic rickets, and Paget’s disease.
The conference content will be delivered via lecture presentations. Each presentation will be followed by an interactive question and answer period with the content expert. There is also an opportunity for interaction, through a panel discussion involving multiple lecturers and the audience.
In the afternoon, the conference will be divided into two concurrent streams. One stream will be tailored to primary care providers, with discussion of topics related to fracture prevention, fracture risk assessment, and osteoporosis treatment. The other stream will be catered to specialists, with discussion of topics related to secondary osteoporosis in unique populations, and rare bone diseases.
