Dr. Jennifer Couturier

Dr. Jennifer Couturier is a child and adolescent psychiatrist, and is the medical co-director of the Pediatric Eating Disorders Program at McMaster Children’s Hospital.  She is also an Assistant Professor within the Departments of Psychiatry & Behavioural Neurosciences, Pediatrics, and Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics at McMaster University.  Prior to her appointment at McMaster University, Dr. Couturier worked for three years as the physician leader of the Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Program at London Health Sciences Centre.  She completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences at Stanford University in Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders.  Prior to that, she completed medical school and her residency in psychiatry at the University of Western Ontario.  Her research focuses on psychotherapy for eating disorders, with a special interest in family therapy approaches.
