As Associate Dean of CPD, she promotes the academic mission of the largest CPD office in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Suzan is a staff member and Director of Education for the Division of Paediatric Emergency Medicine at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto; a graduate of the University of Toronto, Temerty Faculty of Medicine; and holds a Masters of Health Professional Education degree from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Suzan has dedicated her career to advancing CPD and worked as the Academic Director for the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto CPD (2013-2015) and Director for Continuing Education for the Department of Paediatrics at SickKids (2004-2013).<\/p>\n<p>Suzan has served as a CPD educator for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for six years where she worked to support the maintenance of certification program and lifelong learning completing her term in 2016. As an academic program director and conference chair for a variety of CPD programs and conferences, she has acquired a broad range of experience in the complexities of program development and has been extensively involved in teaching.  She continues to work with a variety of organizations at the local, national, and international levels to support CPD and build capacity for the next generation of CPD leaders.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>Morag Paton <small>PhD<\/small><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pull-left img-circle\" style=\"width: 200px; height: 200px; margin-right: 20px; float: left;\" src=\"\/cpd-foundations\/files\/2024\/07\/Morag-Paton.jpg\" alt=\"Morag Paton\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Morag Paton is a higher education professional and is the Associate Director, Maintenance of Certification &#038; Education Consultation Services at CPD where she is responsible for CFPC\/RCPSC accreditation and certification processes. <br \/>\nMorag has a background in higher education, health professions education, administration, and CPD scholarship. She holds a Masters in Health Professions Education and a PhD in Higher Education, both from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. In both 2023 and 2024 she was a co-winner of the Fox Award for Best Research Presentation from the Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education. Her research problematizes assumptions and practices in HPE, using both theoretical and operational\/administrative expertise.<\/p>\n<p>She was a contributor to an FMEC CPD working group report (2018), the ACCME CE Educator\u2019s Toolkit (2022) and the CAMH Framework for Integrating Structural Competency into Physician Leadership Curricula (2024) and has authored or coauthored a number of publications related to CPD leadership and scholarship. She has a background in faculty development, continuing professional education, instructional design, and program evaluation. Currently Jane works as a Program Co-Director for the Coaching Essentials for Healthcare Professionals certificate program, as an educational consultant with Continuing Professional Development, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, as well as the Canadian Anesthesiologist Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Jane has worked with several Canadian associations including the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, the College of Family Physicians of Canada, the Canadian Rheumatology Association, and the Canadian Anesthesiology Association. She presents at many national and international educational meetings and is well known for her skills in educational design and facilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Additional accomplishments include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\t\n\n<li>Winner of outstanding collaboration award between industry and academia (Alliance for Continuing Medical Education).<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li>Winner of Best Article Journal of Continuing Education in the Health Professions<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li>Elected to the board of directors for the Alliance of Continuing Medical Education<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li>Creator (with others) of Essential Skills in CEPD course for the Association of Medical Educators of Europe.<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<blockquote style=\"padding: 5px; background: #f1f1f1; margin-left: 10px;\"><em>\u201cI am very passionate about CPD and the need to continually \u201cpush the bar\u201d.
