Biography – Grainne O’Kane

Dr. Grainne O’Kane is a medical oncologist specializing in pancreatic and hepatobiliary cancers malignancies. She completed her fellowship in GI/thoracic oncology at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre where she then joined faculty as a Clinician Investigator and Assistant Professor at The University of Toronto. She is PI on a number of early phase clinical trials and her translational research focuses on biomarker driven clinical trial design and integrative molecular profiling of tumours. Dr. O’Kane has recently returned to Ireland and has been newly appointed to the Trinity St. James’ Cancer Institute in Dublin. She continues to have an associate role at Princess Margaret and the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research.
