In this video, Burnouf, a dental therapist in Saskatchewan describes her work experience in Indigenous communities. She focuses on community school based dental programs, to perform preventive and operative services to improve their overall oral health. There are many times in the community where a child’s oral health needs are not met, and the process of improving the quality is delayed. The focal point of this video is the importance of education students from an early age to understand and act on their oral hygiene.
