Abhimanyu Sud MD, CCFP<\/small><\/h4>\n

Dr. Sud is Academic Director of Safer Opioid Prescribing and has a played a key role in the initial and ongoing development of the course. A graduate of Yale University and the University of Toronto, he is a community-based family doctorwho also has a community practice in comprehensive chronic pain medicine. He has played an active role in advocating for comprehensive and effective solutions for Canada\u2019s opioid crisis and in particular for the role of evidence-informed education in chronic pain and opioid prescribing at all levels of medical training. He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto\u2019s Faculty of Medicine.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Kathleen Doukas MD, CCFP<\/small><\/h4>\n

Kathleen Doukas is a Family Physician and Lecturer at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.
\n\t\tShe completed her medical school at McMaster and went on to do residency at the University of Toronto. Following this, she pursued a fellowship in low risk obstetrics and women’s health. She is the current education lead at Inner City Health Associates, a group of over seventy physicians who work in shelters and drop ins throughout the GTA. She also works part time doing adolescent medicine at CovenantHouse Toronto.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Meera Harris MB BChir, MPharm, BA (Hons), CCFP<\/small><\/h4>\n

Dr. Meera Harris is a graduate of the University of Cambridge, School of Clinical Medicine in England. She was awarded the Cambridge Commonwealth Scholarship and is currently a Fellow of the University of Cambridge Commonwealth and Overseas Society. Dr. Harris trained in Anesthesiology at the University of Toronto for 3 years, followed by Family Medicine Residency training. She also holds a Masters degree in Pharmacy which she obtained from the University of Brighton. Dr. Harris is specialised with a focused practice in Chronic Pain Management. She is the Academic Lead Physician at Rivlin Medical Group and an Associate Staff Physician at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga site. In her spare time, Dr. Harris enjoys teaching residents and medical students and is a full time faculty member at the University of Toronto (Lecturer).<\/p>\n

Dr. Harris is very passionate about novel methods for Chronic Pain Management and promoting the practice of safe opioid prescribing.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Kirsten Dixon MD, CCFP<\/small><\/h4>\n

Dr. Dixon graduated from the School of Medicine at Queen’s University in 2006 and completed her residency in Family Medicine through St. Michael’s Hospital at the University of Toronto. She is a staff physician at St. Michael’s Hospital and at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Dr. Dixon is also a staff physician with Inner City Health Associates and is the Lead Physician at Seaton House.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
