She is the inaugural Leela and Belur S. Bhagavan, M.D., Professor in Pathology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and she is the Director of the Breast Pathology Division and Fellowship. Dr. Cimino-Mathews received her B.S. from Emory University, where she studied breast cancer tumor vaccine development, followed by her M.D. from Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she subspecialized in surgical and breast pathology.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Cimino-Mathews is a dedicated and passionate educator&nbsp;and has received numerous resident teaching awards. She has published extensively in the fields of surgical and breast pathology and the tumor immune microenvironment; co-authored three books on diagnostic pathology; and authored multiple book chapters related to breast pathology.&nbsp;Dr. Cimino-Mathews is the coordinator for Interactive Microscopy Breast Courses at the USCAP Interactive Center, and she previously served on the USCAP Board of Directors and the USCAP Education Committee.
