Menopause Primer Course
Pinnacle Ballroom I & II

The menopause primer has been designed to provide the foundational building blocks of basic menopause education that has not been well taught for over 20 years. As many medical schools and residency programs don’t spend much time on menopause education, the primer offers the opportunity to build a baseline level of knowledge.

It is suitable for nurse practitioners, pharmacists, medical trainees, and practicing medical clinicians who feel that they would like to “dip their toes” into the field of menopause. The six brief presentations will concisely offer practical knowledge and clinical tips that will allow participants to begin providing evidence based menopause care.
It may also be considered as a “refresher course” and will enhance understanding of topics presented during the regular conference.

Concurrent Meeting Hosted by the Menopause Foundation of Canada
Dundarave Room

Join us for this deeply engaging workshop regarding the current state of menopause in Canada. Janet Ko and Trish Barbato, Co-Founders of the Menopause Foundation of Canada will use a design thinking format to glean insights on areas that need to improve for patients and menopause clinicians. The input will be used directly in the planning of near- and long-term priorities and goals. Participants will have the opportunity to help shape educational tools that MFC plans on launching in 2024. Join us and have your say!

The Menopause Foundation of Canada is a national non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to raising awareness of the impact of menopause on women and society. Their mission is to break the silence and the stigma of menopause with a focus on three key priorities: closing the menopause knowledge gap, improving access to menopause care and treatment and creating menopause inclusive workplaces.
