Presenting authors from outside of Division of General Surgery are welcome. <\/p>\n<p>The presenting author must be available to present their work on May 21st, 2015. <\/p>\n<p>Submissions should include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 200 word structured scientific abstract:  The abstract should be formatted to include the headings: \u201cIntroduction\/Objectives\u201d, \u201cMethods\u201d, \u201cResults\u201d, and \u201cConclusions\u201d. Heading titles are not includes in the total word count. <\/li>\n<li>A 75 word Lay Summary:  A summary of the research work should be provided in simple, non-technical language that can be understood by individuals not familiar with the field of research. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please specify the presenting author. <\/p>\n<h2>Evaluation of Submissions<\/h2>\n<p>All abstracts submitted before the deadline will be considered by a committee based on scientific and clinical merit. <\/p>\n<p>Abstract scores will be tabulated and assigned to Oral Presentation or Poster Presentation. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Key Dates Abstract Submission Open: February 16, 2015 Abstract Submission Close: April 1, 2015 Successful Submission Notification: May 12, 2015 Presenter Response: May 14, 2015 Submitting Abstracts Submit Online Eligibility Submission should describe original research that has not been presented at a previous Annual Assembly forum.
