A staff-led professional development opportunity for the Medical Education community at the University of Toronto.

Since 2023, the Medical Education community at the University of Toronto has been steadily building a shared culture of connection, recognition, and professional growth. What began as a call to “establish, support, and value opportunities for administrative staff talent development” in the 2023-26 Medical Education Strategic Plan has grown into a vibrant, staff-led annual conference designed specifically around what our colleagues say matters most.

Now in its third year, the Medical Education Staff Conference continues to thrive as a proudly “by staff, for staff” professional development opportunity generously supported by the Office of the Vice Dean, Medical Education and made possible by members of the cross-functional planning committee and speakers.

Weaving the Fabric of Medical Education: Stories, Skills, and Synergy

We’re shining a spotlight on the incredible impact of the work we do across the Medical Education continuum with this year’s theme.

Workshops will delve into instructional design, AI strategies, work management tools and workflow planning, data visualization, and more. Panel discussions offer insights into the work carried out by different teams and networking opportunities offer a chance to meet colleagues during this dedicated day of professional development.
