Kevin Zorn MD FRCSC FACS
Dr. Zorn is a former associate professor of urology at the University of Montreal (CHUM) and the University of Chicago, sub-specializing in robotic surgery and BPH surgical care.
Dr. Zorn’s career has consistently been hallmarked by research and innovation. Among his many firsts, he was the first in Canada and Québec to use many new BPH technologies including Greenlight XPS, Rezum, iTind, Optilume and Aquablation. Furthermore, Dr. Zorn is actively involved in investigational trial devices including Zenflow, ProVee and Urocross.
He has also been the first in Canada to introduce cutting-edge technologies including the Clarius and ButterflyIQ point-of care ultrasound (POCUS), as well as disposable AMBU4 cystoscopes for faster patient care and safety.
He is among the first physicians globally to be named as a Center of Excellence for Rezum and Greenlight vaporization and VIT (vapor incision technique). He is an international speaker and surgical trainer for these techniques.

Dr. Shubhadip Kumar De is a dedicated Urologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the urinary tract in men and women, and the male reproductive system. Practicing at a urology clinic within a hospital department in Edmonton, AB, he is an integral part of the local medical community. He provides comprehensive urological care for a wide range of issues, including kidney stones, prostate conditions, bladder problems, and male reproductive health concerns. His practice adheres to the high standards set by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA), ensuring quality and safety in all patient care activities.
Dr. De graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Dalhousie University in Canada and holds specialty certification as a Urologist. He is certified by the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in Urology. His extensive training and certification reflect his commitment to maintaining the highest level of expertise in urological care and surgical procedures.
With a patient-centered approach, Dr. De is dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based treatment options utilizing the latest minimally invasive techniques where appropriate. He emphasizes comprehensive patient education and shared decision-making to ensure optimal health outcomes. Keith Rourke MD FRCSC

Keith Rourke is Professor in the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery at the University of Alberta. He received his Bachelor in Science from the University of New Brunswick, his Doctor of Medicine from Dalhousie University and completed his urology residency training at the University of Alberta. In 2003, he completed fellowship training at the Devine Centre for Genitourinary Reconstruction in Norfolk, Virginia.
Dr. Rourke provides state-of-the-art care to patients requiring reconstruction of the genitourinary tract, treatment of complications after prostate cancer therapy, and complex surgery for male sexual dysfunction. Dr. Rourke has over 120 peer reviewed publications and has been invited to lecture nationally and internationally on topics related to reconstructive urology. Dr. Rourke also has expertise in surgical education both undergraduate and post-graduate and has received over 25 teaching awards. He has been a urology residency program director, clerkship coordinator, fellowship director and a faculty of medicine course coordinator at the University of Alberta. Dr. Rourke has chaired several national and international professional committees, including Chair of the Urology Specialty Committee of the Royal College of Physicians Surgeons of Canada, Chair of the Canadian Urological Association Post-Graduate Training Committee, Co-Chair of the Canadian Urological Association Scientific Committee, Past-President and Chair of the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons Fellowship Committee and past Chair of the Canadian Undergraduate Urology Committee (CanUUC).

R. Christopher Doiron MD MPH FRCSC

Dr. Doiron joined the Department of Urology as Assistant Professor in 2020. He completed his undergraduate medical training at University of Toronto in 2013, at which point he joined the Department of Urology at Queen’s University for his residency training. Completion of his postgraduate training saw him off to University of Alberta where he completed a Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons Fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Keith F. Rourke. He subsequently returned to Queen’s University, completing a fellowship in Urologic Chronic Pelvic Pain under the supervision of Dr. J. Curtis Nickel. Throughout his fellowship training, he completed an MPH in Epidemiology with the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. His clinical and research interests include genitourinary reconstruction and urologic pain.

Martin Eklund PhD

Martin Eklund, PhD, is the Professor of Epidemiology at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. He earned his doctorate degree in 2010 from Uppsala University in Uppsala, Sweden with a study focus on computer intensive methods for statistical model choice and validation. Between his graduation and his appointment at Karolinska Institute in 2015, he served in the Section for Global Safety Assessment at AstraZeneca and the Department of Surgery, University of California San Francisco.
His research in combining machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), and statistical risk-prediction models with clinical practice has contributed greatly to the world of prostate and breast cancer care. In collaboration with international teams, he has worked on the innovative Stockholm3, Stockholm3-MRI, ProBio, and PANDA Challenge trials, among others. He aims, with studying prediction models and AI, to shorten innovation cycles in medicine and enable individualized, effective diagnostics and treatment.

Aly-Khan Lalani MD FRCPC

Dr. Lalani is an Assistant Professor at McMaster University and a Medical Oncologist at the Juravinski Cancer Centre. After completing Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology training, he was awarded the TD Insurance Meloche Monnex & Alberta Medical Association Scholarship. Thereafter, he pursued a Fellowship in Genitourinary Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, mentored by Dr. Toni Choueiri. He has also completed the Program in Clinical Effectiveness at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He remains a Visiting Scientist at Dana-Farber and is a member of the Escarpment Cancer Research Institute, with academic interests in clinical trial design and translational work.

Dr. Miles Mannas graduated from the University of British Columbia before completing his Urologic Oncology fellowship training at NYU Langone Health, a centre leading improvements in the diagnosis and treatment of localized prostate cancer. He is a surgeon scientist at Vancouver General Hospital with specialized expertise in robotics and image guided diagnostics and therapeutics for prostate cancer. His clinical research program is focused on improving the diagnosis and treatment of localized prostate cancer. Additionally, his translational research focuses on developing novel techniques for real-time pathologic tissue analysis utilizing artificial intelligence.

Tobias Nordström MD PhD

Clinical urologist and researcher dedicated to improve diagnostics and treatment of prostate cancer and other urological conditions. Tobias Nordström is a clinically active urologist, focusing on the detection and treatment of malignancies in the prostate and kidney, as well as treating general urological conditions. He started practicing urology in 2007 and has achieved degrees in General Surgery and Urology at Danderyd's Hospital. He was awarded Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU) in 2015.
Tobias Nordström defended his thesis "Predicting Prostate Cancer- on the use of biomarkers in Prostate Cancer Diagnostics [1]" in January 2015 after which he undertook international postdoctoral studies at University of California, San Francisco.
He now combines clinical surgical practice at Danderyds Hospital with independent research at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Karolinska Institutet. Centrepieces of his work includes leading guidelines development and implementing improvements in clinical care such as targeted prostate biopsies and imaging.
