Professor Dimitri Anastakis Appointed New Vice Dean of CEPD Congratulations Dimitri on your appointment as the new Vice Dean of Continuing Education and Professional Development, Faculty of Medicine for a five-year term commencing July 1, 2012! Dimitri has been with the Office of CEPD since July 2011, first as Acting Vice Dean and subsequently Interim Vice Dean from September 2011 to present. As former Chair of the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Professor in the Department of Surgery and Executive Director of SIM-one, an interprofessional healthcare simulation network within the province of Ontario, Dimitri brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to CEPD. We are delighted that he is staying on and look forward to excelling further with his leadership.
Dr. David Wiljer Promoted to Associate Professor Congratulations David on your promotion to the rank of Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology, Faculty of Medicine! David serves as a member of several committees, including the Education Executive Committee, Continuing Education Directors and Leaders Committee (CEDL) and the Research in Continuing Education Committee (RICE). Most recently, David has been working closely with the Office of CEPD on future directions and strategic planning initiatives.
Kelly Fernandes Accepted to Queen’s University School of Medicine Congratulations Kelly on being accepted into Queen’s University School of Medicine! A University of Toronto student and longtime casual staff member, Kelly has worked diligently within the Office of CEPD over the past four years, predominantly in Research and Accreditation. We would like to thank Kelly for all of her hard work and professionalism. Although she will be greatly missed, we are very excited to see her progress in her studies and know that she will be a wonderful asset to the medical profession.
