Urology Update Prepping for Challenges Ahead

Between 1988 and 2017, the number of new cancer cases in Canada has risen gradually – and although survival rates have increased, the Canadian Cancer Society predicts that within the next 15 years, cancer rates in Canada will continue to rise by approximately 40%.

As of 2017, prostate cancer is the 3rd leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men in Canada, with 1 in 7 men expected to be diagnosed with this disease in their lifetime. Bladder cancer is also the 4th most commonly diagnosed cancer in males and the 12th most commonly diagnosed cancer in females.

The high incidence of these problems makes it critical for urologists to stay up-to-date on the latest developments within the field. Urology Update 2017 will provide participants with knowledge about new developments in clinical urology, including ways to approach the management and treatment of these problems.

Participants will benefit from the interactive format of the conference, as all lectures will be enhanced with panel discussions, debates, case presentations, and audience participation.

This 2-day conference will cover a wide range of topics within clinical urology, including:

  • Localized and advanced prostate cancer
  • Bladder and testis cancer
  • Post-prostatectomy incontinence
  • Post-treatment urethral complications
  • Male Infertility
  • Minimally Invasive Surgery
  • Urinary Tract Infections in women

Urology Update is a longstanding conference that urologists have been attending for over 20 years. This year’s conference will take place from October 27 – October 28, 2017 at the Hilton Hotel in Downtown Toronto.
