Update in Emergency Medicine Returns to Whistler in February

Due to the nature of their field, emergency medicine healthcare workers possess comprehensive medical knowledge and a wide range of skills. As stated by the Canadian Medical Association, “emergency physicians must be prepared to treat patients of all ages and a nearly infinite variety of conditions and degrees of illness – often before a definite diagnosis is made and within time-restricted circumstances”[1]. Thus, it is important for this group to continuously update their knowledge.

The 33rd Annual Update in Emergency Medicine gives healthcare workers the ability to review and discuss critical topics in emergency medicine. Through plenaries and interactive workshops, participants will improve their skills in the identification, assessment, and treatment of common, yet potentially challenging, problems in adult and pediatric emergency medicine.

This 4-day conference will take place from February 23-26, 2020 at the Hilton Whistler Resort in Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia – one of Canada’s top skiing destinations. Whistler Blackcomb has the greatest vertical rise in North America, with over 6,900 acres of skiable terrain suitable for every competence level, over 200 runs, and the most extensive high-speed lift system in the world.

Don’t miss out on a fantastic conference in a fantastic location! To register and learn more, please visit the conference website.
