Toronto Head and Neck Imaging Symposium Returns in March

The 2020 Toronto Head and Neck Imaging Symposium is a structured review of common clinical entities that are encountered in both community and tertiary radiology practices as related to head and neck disease.

Topics for this year’s symposium will include:

  • A detailed review of cross-sectional anatomy of the major components of the head and neck
  • Imaging review of patterns of head and neck tumor spread
  • Post-therapy head and neck imaging: expected changes and imaging of recurrent disease
  • Multidisciplinary head and neck oncology tumor board session

Upon attending, participants will gain familiarity with head and neck imaging anatomy, learn to recognize key upstaging features for common head and neck cancers, be able to distinguish between expected post therapy changes in the extracranial head and neck versus recurrence, and understand what the clinician wants to know from the head and neck imaging report.

The Toronto Head and Neck Imaging Symposium is offered by the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto and will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Radiologists, radiation oncologists, otolaryngologists & head and neck surgeons, oral and maxillofacial radiologists, medical imaging technologists, and advanced nurse practitioners are encouraged to attend.
