As a developmental paediatrician I know first-hand the importance of engaging everyone involved in the circle of care when working to improve health equity for children and youth. The Canadian Children, Youth and Communities (CCYC) In | Equity Conference brings together health care providers and clinicians, community agencies, and health partners to discuss the impact of various social determinants of health and inequity on the well-being of children, youth, and communities.

Our partners and collaborators include self-advocates, families, researchers, educators, and administrators working to promote equitable access to health care for all children and youth.

Through a highly interactive and multidisciplinary conference format, we shine a spotlight on ideas and topics specific to children and youth from vulnerable and marginalized communities in the Canadian health care system. Our goal is to share effective approaches that are actively addressing systemic inequities in health from birth to adolescence and removing barriers to health care access.

I warmly invite you to join us to share in this collaborative and diverse learning opportunity.
