SummaryHistorically, Aboriginal students have been underrepresented in schools of nursing across Canada. Although Aboriginal peoples comprise almost 5% of the population in Canada (Statistics Canada, 2017), only 2.9% of the registered nursing workforce reports Aboriginal ancestry (ANAC, 2014). This study was conducted to determine factors that influence the recruitment, retention, and graduation of Aboriginal nursing students.
