Summary

There is an urgent need for action to prevent chronic disease among First Nations, Inuit and Métis (FNIM) populations, driven by rising rates of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and respiratory diseases. CCO’s Path to Prevention report provides recommendations through policies, strategies and initiatives needed to address health challenges, while recognizing the dis- tinct cultural, historical, sociopolitical and geographical con- texts of FNIM peoples
