Thank-you for agreeing to be a speaker at the Canadian Paediatric Endocrine Group (CPEG) Scientific Meeting at the Delta Hotels Saskatoon Downtown on February 8–10, 2024.

This web page will guide you through a series of tasks for your presentation. Please complete all the tasks by the deadlines listed below.

Credentials & Appointments

All speakers are asked to submit their signature in the following format:

Short Biography (50 words or less)

Your biography should be 2-3 sentences  (50 words or less) outlining your experience in the field.

Headshot

Please provide a professional headshot in jpeg or png format. This will be used on the online platform and in conference marketing materials.

CPEG Conflict of Interest Form

Every presenter must complete the Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form.

CPEG Format Requirements

Presenters should maintain a practical focus, highlighting new issues and diagnostic challenges relevant to practicing physicians and should structure presentations around a set of individual cases (3-5 depending on the length of the talk).

Presentations are required to have 3-4 polling questions and are limited to the stated length and cannot impede upon the discussion and Q&A time. Participants can submit questions throughout the session which the moderator will curate and ask at the end of each session.

CPEG Content Requirements

Your presentation content and delivery needs to be in alignment with at least one of the identified learning needs for the target audience.

You will need to create 2-3 Learning Objectives for your session. Learn more about writing learning objectives.

CPEG Learning Objectives 2024

At the conclusion of this conference, the participants will be able to:

  1. Utilize knowledge of newer therapeutic and diagnostic options to optimize the management of pediatric pituitary disease
  2. Recognize the efficacy of newer therapeutic agents in the prevention of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus
  3. Utilize clinical and technical knowledge to optimise management of youth living with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus on advanced pump therapy
  4. Formulate a comprehensive approach to assessment and management of pediatric obesity
  5. Identify children and adolescents at higher risk of future infertility who would benefit from timely referral to specialized fertility services
  6. Compare different treatment options in youth with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

2 Prepare your Presentation

Slide Format & Mandatory Slides

University of Toronto Accreditation conditions require that all presenters/speakers must include a disclosure slide and learning objectives slide at the beginning of their presentation, stating all real or apparent conflict(s) of interest or lack thereof and verbally notify the audience. Patient Confidentiality

All presentations must comply with patient confidentiality agreements. Patient names should not be used, and images must not contain identifiable features (e.g., institutional location of scan, date of scan, patient date of birth, MRN, photography that shows facial or other identifiable features etc.).

Interactivity

All presentations must include a minimum of 25% interactivity. This is typically achieved through audience response (polling) and Q&A.

3 Travel Expense Reimbursement

The committee would like to cover your ground or economy air transportation. Please use the checklist to help complete the expense form for your travel and send them back to us after the conference via email. *Note: it is extremely important that you keep original receipts for your expenses. We will not be able to reimburse you if you do not have proper documentation.
