Medicine by Design 6th Annual Symposium – A Systems Approach to Regenerative Medicine

Thank you for joining us as a poster presenter at the Medicine by Design’s 6th Annual Symposium.

This web page will guide you through a series of tasks for your live digital poster session presentation and abstract. Please complete all the tasks by the deadlines listed below.

1 Send your poster and poster presentation

Submitting your Poster:
Please provide a .pdf or .jpg (11x17”) of your poster for placement along with your recording on the conference platform.

Please include this Medicine by Design logo on your poster. The logo must be used as a whole; you cannot separate the U of T and Medicine by Design logo. If relevant, please use the following wording in the acknowledgment section: “This research is part of the University of Toronto’s Medicine by Design initiative, which receives funding from the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF).”

Virtual Poster Presentation Submission Steps:
Please use the information below to prepare your Digital Poster Presentation. For maximum engagement we recommend your recording should not exceed 2-3 minutes in length.

*After reviewing the above requirements, please submit both your presentation recording and poster in pdf or jpg (11x17”) format by uploading it through this portal.

Please ensure the title of the transfer, and the title of your presentation file is named: MBD-Poster-firstname-lastname so we are able to easily track it.

2 Additional Profile Details ( Optional)

We highly recommend providing as much detail as you can for your virtual poster profile. This adds a personal touch, and it allows participants to learn more about you.

These are the additional details you can include on your profile:

  1. Headshot
  2. Brief description of your research
  3. Social media links (Twitter, LinkedIn, website)

3 Day of / Live Program

December 9-10

A few days before the Symposium you will be sent a welcome email from facmed.registration@utoronto.ca when the conference platform opens. This will include your login username and password. Please use this to login to the platform and attend sessions.

The poster hall hours are scheduled for Thursday, December 9 from 12:25 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Things to note:

  • Please log in to the platform during those dedicated hours to answer questions from attendees regarding your poster through either the chat function or by video call
    • If you are unavailable during the dedicated time, you will be able to reply to any questions you missed when you next login to the platform.
  • Judges will be scheduled to virtually visit your poster from 12:25 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • The posters will be available for review throughout the symposium.

If an attendee or judge would like to get in touch with you about your poster, you will be contacted through the platform's networking feature.

This message will appear under the notifications section the platform (see screenshot, arrow #1). When you open the chat, it will appear like the screenshot below (arrow #2). You may message through text chat or start a video chat using the green 'Join Video Call’ button
