Challenging Cases in Opioid Use and Misuse Workshop

Prerequisite

Completion of the Webinar Series is mandatory before registering for the workshop. This includes the completion of the pre-webinar assignments, attendance and participation in the three webinars, and the completion of the post-webinar assignments:

  • Assessing Complex Chronic Pain
  • Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain
  • Addressing Opioid Challenges and Addiction

Learning Objectives

  • Recognize and address possible risks and complications of opioid prescribing.
  • Implement clinical skills for safer prescribing of opioids
  • Identify Opioid Use Disorder and outline treatment options
  • Use effective communication with chronic pain patients

Approximately two weeks prior to the workshop date, and with your paid registration, you will be provided your pre-workshop assignment and location information for the workshop. Following the workshop you will be required to complete two post workshop practice application assignments that will be submitted electronically. For registrants requiring Accommodation the closest hotels, and those that offer a University of Toronto rate. Please ensure you request this rate when making your Reservations.
